Softwave Tissue Regeneration Therapy

Softwave OrthoGold 100

Softwave therapy is one of the most powerful methods of stimulating Stem Cell production as well as growth factors specifically in the area being treated. When you have pain from your muscles, ligaments, tendons or joints, Softwave can be used to trigger a tremendous amount of healing factors within the damaged area, leading to rapid relief of pain.

Softwave therapy is used for treating injured tissues in the body that are either slow to heal or are areas of chronic pain and inflammation. The process is very simple, non invasive and doesn’t require any injections. The Softwave applicator is applied directly to the skin along with ultrasound gel. The applicator is moved around the injured area to identify trigger points (painful areas), while at the same time providing therapeutic treatment to the tissue.

The treatments take no more than 15 minutes and are generally done twice a week for 2 weeks, then once a week for 4 weeks, totaling 8 treatments. For severely injured areas we may advise treatments twice a week for up to 8 weeks. The general result is 65-90% reduction in pain and inflammation within 8-12 treatments. Most people begin to feel a reduction of pain after their second session.

Treatment of Neuropathy as well as Mortons Neuroma

Very tender areas which are difficult or very painful to inject are easily treated with Softwave therapy. The treatment itself is very gentle and unlike typical injection therapies, Softwave doesn’t require any downtime after the treatments. We always suggest resting the area for 24-48 hours but you can still continue to remain active.
